Why HH didn't have a rat club before? I dont know.

Does HH have a rat club now? Definitely.

Here you can talk about your pet rats, rat supplies, etc (you dont need to own any!).

Please remember that some people have a fear of rats. If they ask you not to quote them with an image of a rat, or to explain why rats are good pets, please be kind and curteous.

There are only 2 type of people-the people who love rats, and the people who haven't learned about them yet

RAT CLUB 2020

Has anyone here ever owned Fancy Rats?

Haha, as I’ve mentioned once or twice; I had a pair of two fancy rats for a few months. At the time when I took them in, I became really busy with a bunch of stuff, which effected my pet care towards both the rats and my hamster. Since I was so busy, I decided that I only really had time to take care of one animal, so I decided to re-home the rats, hoping they would go to a better owner. I do miss them dearly, but I do have more time to focus on Mushu now, which is good :).
Anyways, I’m joining the rat club, cause why not??

I will join the rat club! Several years ago, I had two rats, Sam and Max. They were so cute and sweet. Sadly, we just adopted them from a shelter with very almost no research. They lived In an okayish cage, but with almost no toys! The only hide they had was a tissue box. Max also had some food aggression, so that made us have to feed them in different parts of the cage. It makes me sad that they had rough lives, especially now when I am such an advocate for research first. But know, after finding Emiology’s YouTube channel, I love rats and their care! After Harvey, I would love to get rats, but my mom doesn’t like rats at all :(. I definitely think some people need to meet and see rats, to see how sweet and smart they are!

If you ever do get rats, I would recomend getting 3. Its easier and less stressfull for animal and human.

Thanks! I would like to get a group, just because of the benefits if one dies, and I think it would much more fun to see them with instinctual group behaviors!

I love rats. I swear if college and cash weren’t an issue I’d be a crazy rat lady. I think it’s just the combo of the size and sociability—like, a big ball of fluff that likes humans and cuddles? Sign me up!

Future goal is to have an entire wall of rats in my future house. Just like five CritterNations all in a row with like fifteen rats. It would be so expensive and time consuming but so soo worth it. :D

If I ever get rats I think I may need to set up a cat climbing thing on the wall :rotfl:

I wish I had rats. Where I live they are illegal, and my mom hates rodents (but has learned to like my hamster)

I'm joining! I ADORE rats. Tbh I would rather have them than hamsters (Shhhhhh don't tell anyone.) Sadly my parents won't let me get any because they say I already have enough hamsters and dogs and they say I will just want more pets after I get rats  :yell: . Luckily I have convinced them to let me foster some for a local small pet rescue.  :mouse:
