It's NOT just being around birds. It's taking care of them, feeding them, educating people on them, etc. I'm basically required to know bird care. It's like owning a bird to take care of, except there's a lot of birds. I also get to watch the care of birds with health issues. I don't think you understand that I'm not "just being around birds". I'm caring for them. Just like an owner would.
Your missing the point of what i said. Research and being around birds is good. But once you have birds in your hands its an entirely different ball game
Okay everyone chill. There seems to be two entirely different things going on. One was calling kids info wrong, and another is about experience and owning. It seems that the original argument was on kids and incorrect info. And somehow it spiraled into owning birds?
Let’s get this straight. No amount of research can replace owning birds, but being around birds, and researching is different. Here DancingHammy is saying she has worked in a bird sanctuary. Since we seem to be confused here let’s turn it into something different. Okay imagine your voulenteering (Ik I spelled that wrong) in a hospital. For a couple of years. So you’ve been around doctors etc. and you’ve helped people too. Your not really a “doctor” or “nurse” per se. But you have experience on helping people in the medical industry. That’s what’s going on here. DancingHammy has cared for birds, but she’s never owned one. She can’t call herself a bird owner, but she can say she’s taken care of birds, and knows enough information to help other people with birds. It’s like pet sitting a bird for a few months. Your taking care of the bird, feeding, cleaning etc. Everything like owning a bird, but it’s still not your bird. That’s like here.
I hope this cleared some things out. I tried to explain this to the best of my ability without taking sides or hurting feelings.
