Hi everyone...i found a nestling laying on the ground in my garden, well actually there are two but the other one is...dead...i tried to find a nest nearby that it could have fallen off from but there were none, so I brought it inside in a cardboard box and put some towel around it, also I turned my radiator on...i am not planning to keep it since i will have to go on holiday very soon and this was all unexpected...so after i fed it some dried mealworms that I bought for my hammy and some cooked egg yolk i put it back outside where it was found...still in a cardboard box with a small bag that i filled with rice and put in the microwave for about 5 min, even when it is summer here in denmark i think it can still be very cold tonight...and I seriously don’t know what to do...I cannot let it die...

I dont think I can help alot maybe someone else could. Is there any shelters or something that can care for the bird? Or maybe someone else could watch over it. Also I think you should give it water in case its dehydrated.

The bird needs to go to a wildlife rehabilitator. I would not feed it anything else, nor provide water- doing so can make the birds extremely sick, even kill them. Without knowing a species, you cant even know if this bird eats bugs or seeds or fruit or what. Rehabbers much prefer to get babies a little hungry and dehydrated. If the bird is still there, and alive, I would call the local wildlife authority and/or local vets to find out where to bring the bird.
