hi. I've been looking into "Pac-Man frogs" as the petstores call them, and I was just wondering what size tank they need. Since males generally are smaller, could a male be in a 5.5 Gallon? I don't plan to get one soon if even ever, I'm just wondering, as I've been interested lately. lol. Ty!!! :)

Pac mans get super large regardless of male or female. A five gallon isn't big enough for a pac man. Pac mans need at least a ten to twenty gallon tank unfortunately. If you don't have the space for that size tank however you can look into african dwarf frogs as they would do fine in a five gallon but are fully aquatic. Still very fun and interesting amphibians.

Also know with proper care these guys live up to fifteen years so it's a long investment, longer than most dogs and more like committing to a cat. I always warn people to consider if they are capable of caring for longer lived animals such as reptiles and amphibians before getting them.
