I had a coconut today. I got all the meat out, and i rinsed it off well. Is this safe for my crabs? I want a real coconut hut. I have the work done, I just wanna make sure its safe before adding it. And also can crabs eat coconut meat?

I don’t know about your other questions, but I got all the coconut meat out, washed it off and put it in their cage and it did fine, just make sure it’s not molding or something which is unlikely.

Yes, I use coconut huts in my pp's enclosure, and it works out great! I generally use it for the "cool" hut, as it does not mold easily. Coconut contains many healthy fats and oils, so I would recommend feeding the meat to the crabs as well, if you're able to.

(Also, its pretty cool that somebody else owns hermit crabs on this forum. What species are in your group?)
