You won't believe what i found...

Not only is the cage waaaaayyyyy to small. The hamster has a barred wheel. Just everything about this is wrong. I think every hamster owner with a half a brain can spot this out.

I think the hamster in cage prototype is a fake hamster. I think if a company really developed it, it would end up being pretty humane, since the idea is supposed to be eco friendly. I guess they'd have to make hamster safe printer ink tho.

yes not only would they have to make hamster safe ink but also hamsters cannot burrow in paper bedding. And in order to make bedding the hamster wouldn't have any bedding until they shredded the paper. Also paper bedding isn't very soft at all.

I'm sorry if I sound rude I'm having a VERY bad day.

To be fair, it did say it was just a prototype. But if they actually sell this thing- holy cheese. I have.. lots of questions. Like why? I guess it’s a cool idea, but.... as others have said, I feel like maybe this isn’t such a good idea.

Agreed! I feel like a lot of things could go wrong with this cage.

I guess it's a cool knick knack, you know, something to put on a shelf just to tell people that you're eco friendly, you know?

But to condemn a living creature to this? Come on...so many things could go wrong with this cage

         1. There is a shredder attached to the cage. If you put a climbing Syrian in there *shudder* SO MANY things could go wrong, even if it seems completely safe. Hamsters have a lot of capabilities that this cage does not provide for. Also, just pointing out the fact that a hamster would have to run for a long time (if they were going to expand the cage) to make bedding, and there's really no point. It would be pointless because the hamster simply couldn't make enough bedding or even just enough strips for nesting if they were to expand this cage to an allowable length.
