hey fellow hamster owners! Should I name it Yammy or Bibbles? I know it depends on what type of hamster. For example:  If its a creamy color than yammy. Then if its black or gray bibbles. Well at least thats what i would do. Also if i get a hamster i dont know which type I would get?! :dizzy:  But whatever your name ideas would really help too. Thanks for reading Bye!  :veryhappy:

Well I find it's not good to name pets before you get them. I mean usually a name just suits them, and you'll always be second guessing their name if you choose now. I would wait and see how they look :)

I like to see may pet before naming them as well :goodvibes:

Out of Yammy or Bibbles. I'd probably pick Bibbles though Yammy is more unique :)

Like the others said above, I usually prefer to see what kind of hamster I get before naming them. You can also name your hamster that suits its personality I guess XD

I agree with the rest of you, but I personally like Yammy because it is unique! I thought Kiwi was a unique name because I named him after the bird, not the the fruit, but after joining Hamster Hideout, I realized that there are quite a lot of hams named Kiwi!

A good idea would to look at Vanilla Ham Hams channel on youtube, they have a video about hamster names for all kinds of hamsters. You might find something you like there!

I would wait till you pick out the perfect hammy and eventually I think the name for him/her will come to you. Also, once he/she is home ask your parents. My mom came up with my past hamster Skippy's name. I would really recommend waiting until you bring it home, though that's just my opinion.

Exactly why I named my past two hamsters  "Dodo" and "Trapeziod", everyone thought it was weird, but I liked those names for them c:

Spoiler

Anyways, name it something that suits the hamster, don't pick out a name before you get it.

Here's some examples (not limited to these of course!)

If it has long fur, maybe Feather.

If it likes chewing, maybe Chewy.

If it is white, maybe Snowflake.

If it is fast, maybe Flash.

Idk, just some ideas!
