I'm thinking of upgrading my tiny hermit crab cage (which is only 10 GALLONS) to at least a 20 and then getting some aquatic animals in my 10 gallon tank. I was thinking of getting African Dwarf Frogs because they seem to interesting. Also I may get some other type of fish. I know this isn't the Fish Forum but I could use some ideas for what type of fish I should get and what I need for frogs. Thanks!

You could house a male or female Betta in your 10g if you wanted. You wouldn't be able to house the frogs with a Betta if you did though.

ADFs do best in a species-only tank or with non-competitive species like snails and otocinclus. They are quite shy and do best with lots of hiding places, and eat a diet of frozen (not freeze-dried) bloodworms and brineshrimp.

Okay, thanks! I was just wondering if I could get fish but I would rather have the frogs than fish.

I had a frog and he was very cute, but also very...dumb?? He wasn't good at finding food, so I used chopsticks to basically put the worms right in front of his face. Even then he would strike and miss. So keep in mind if you do get one you may have to do something similar. Definitely not good with fish since they're so bad at getting food. I didn't know and had him with a dwarf puffer who was very good at catching food and it was a chore trying to feed them separately so the puffer wouldn't keep stealing his food.

Thanks! I read on some forums online that I may have to use some different ways of feeding them. I think I will just have snails into the tank with my future frogs though after doing some research. Thanks!

They have very poor eyesight and find food by smell. If they're the only animals in the tank, dropping half a cube of bloodworms in should suffice without using chopsticks as no one else will steal them.:)
