I got a new little friend this last weekend and decided it was time to introduce him here.  After I lost my last betta I had an empt 20 gallon long and couldn't figure out what to do with it.  Someone on Instagram suggested an axolotl, but I dismissed it because even though I desperately wanted one, my house was just too warm.  Well, I started researching and found a few different ways I could cool a tank for one.  I found a semi-cheap chiller on amazon and decided it would be perfect.  So yeah, then I found little Mudkip online and had to have him (or her, idk, it's only 6 mo old and I can't tell yet).  So here are some pics of him and his tank. I'll try to get some nicer pictures up soon!

A few axie updates.  I have a new 33 gallon long tank (footprint of a 55 gallon), and some new family members. 

 

For now, here is a bit of a "teaser" of them in their new tank

 

The new babies are named Lotad (black melanoid) and Wooper (golden albino).

 

I'll post pictures of the babies sometime this weekend.

Yes? Which was after I got the tank and the axolotls, just didn't update this. Not that it's important to explain to anyone here, but I did trade them for caging for other animals and cash which will make my life easier as I get ready to move. I don't just swap out animals without a lot of careful consideration.

So cute! I'm super jealous! I've always wanted an axoltl but I've always been worried about our house being too warm and chillers were crazy expensive when I looked into them.

So cute!! We're getting an axolotl soon, and my mom suggested the name Mudkip xD

*gasp* Mudkip is so cute! I love the little ear tuft things! (sorry, I don't know what they're called XD)

What a cutie! I saw a documentary on these guys a while back and I had no idea they were pets! Mudkip is adorable!
