I wish my PetSmart would upgrade to solid wheels
The long tanks seems like a pretty good deal
, how many sq inches is it?

Great job upgrading your hamster cages! The only thing I would say is that you could maybe put a bit more bedding in their cages (maybe have 3 in. of bedding in there?). Most hamsters really love to burrow! Enjoy your new cages!

I think you misread it. She said that she is happy that PetSmart upgraded to Comfort Wheels, more bedding, and hideys, not anything about her own housing for her hamster(s) ![]()
So I went to petsmart today, and they were having an awesome sale! 20 gallon long tank, (which is huge) cost $30! And a 20 gallon tank was 15 dollars! AGHH I NEED TO VISIT AGAIN SOON! And it improved the hamster cages a lot! They now have comfort wheels instead of wire mesh wheels in every cage, except for a couple. they have about an inch of bedding, they used to have just enough to cover the floor. And they all have hidey houses! YAY!

A 20 gallon long is exactly 360 square inches. Its the bare minimum so you should still try to go bigger if at all possible ![]()

Interesting? I've heard that long tanks are actually pretty big. I have a 35 gallon long tank anyways.

I think that there's a difference between long and tank. A 20 gallon long, is much larger than a twenty gallon high...I thinnk?

The 20 long is longer and less tall, they hold the same amount of gallons but they are different shapes.

Wow, I wish my Petsmart would upgrade their wheels to solid ones, they're all mesh :( But luckily they do have plenty of bedding and all have hidey houses. At least the rats have proper comfort wheels that are plenty big!
