Since dwarves are so small, would it hurt them more if they fell off one of the platforms of my multi level cage? Or should I get a single one? :fight: Are they safe for dwarves? It was fine with my syrian. :hamster1:

since dwafts are smaller they would be more prone to hurting themselves if they fall. Have you though about putting them in a tub?

why don't u get those cages that come in 2 stprys but enclosed type. like the WILD cage, so they have to climb down the tunnel n can't fall down onto the 1st storey. =)

No, I was thinking of using my wire multi level cage that I have all ready. I just don't want them to get hurt on it. I could buy a tub or 1 level cage, but then I'll still have this huge other one, and it would be more money and room on something new. I don't want to waste my money, either.

A wild cage is like a crittertrail except it's slightly smaller and is made for dwarfs. It wouldn't really fit 2 dwarves, unless you buy 2 of them. I was talking about the pink one on the link, but you can get the blue 2 story one..Or others. Usually you can't get it here in the USA, but I saw it in the Philippines.

Thanx. Do you know any stores that do carry them in the US?

My old ham had a place he could climb up to get his water and he ENJOYED jumping off it. It wasn't that high but you shouldn't get a 2 story for dwarves.

Nope, I have never seen them in the USA, except for that one time, I was searching through a pet store at a Farmer Market, I was curious about that place and they had a WILD CAge but it was the carrier kind, it was really cool.....clear with baby pink lid and an attached dwarf pink wheel and a nylon carrier and a adorable pink/clear hidey house. Darn.......I wish I bought it!

Thanks everybody. I will delete one of the levels and lower the other one. It should work. My parents won't buy me another cage because this one was really expensive, but if I could, I'd buy a WILD cage on EBAY or something because it looks really cool.

Berrylux, on your link, my hamsterr cage is very similar to the Ferplast 3 picture. If I do what I said on the post above this one, do you think I could house dwarves in it?

another point to note: unlike crittertail it has 1 more thing useful, model 378/379( same type different colour) 380, 381 382 and 383( different height/features)all these models have a upper level removable( like a small box) for easy cleaning. crittertail don't have this feature, their upper level box like room is fixed, in short it's part of the roof cover.here is the link to it
