• too blurry (out of focus), or
  
• the write up has too many typos, or
  
• the other entries are slightly better (there has to be an element of cuteness in the photo).

1) Mr Whiskers

Hey HH,
My name's Mr. Whiskers, and I am dictating this letter to you from my mommy's shoulder. the keyboard keys are just too hard to push for tiny hamster paws *sigh*. My mommy couldn't figure out how to post my picture for a week! Those silly humans! And when I tried to tell her how to do it, she just fed me a raisin and left. They're not the smartest creatures, but we hamsters still love them. My hobbies include munching on bread, sleeping, and cuddling. I am a very lovely and gentle hamster, and I would love to win a picture contest.

Okay my name is Mashimaro (Marshmallow) and I'm a winter white dwarf hamster.My age is 1 and a half year and I looove eating sunflower seeds and raisins.That's about me!Okay I'm not in the mood to tell you more...I'm very sleepy....

3) Hermie

Hi I'm Hermie, a motted winter-white dwarf hamster around 2yrs old (this month is my birthday!). I'm currently staying with my 10 neighbour hams located in a place called Hamsty World. I was shortlisted but didn't win in (March) contest and hence I would like to join again.

When I was young, my 2 owners keep saying I'm the ugliest ham from the rest, but as I grow up, everyone starts noticing that I have become a very cute ham. This gives me the confidence to enter this contest & I hope you vote for me so I can share with you my life story.

4) Dude

Hello my name is Dude. I am an almost 5 month old hamster. I am a super hyper and super playful little guy and my mommy always has a hard time catching me in my cage. I love to chew anything I can find and I love to eat (My favorite is lettuce) but most of all I love running in the wheel to make myself fit so the ladies love me I'm also very smart. I learned to use a ladder when I was only 3 weeks old and I was the first of my litter to use the wheel! My mommy says I look just like my ham-daddy William which is so true for sure! Anyways if you want you can vote for me! I would really love to win a contest this year!
