Just wondering. Not sure if it's necessary to give your hamster bottled water? I can't seem to find this anywhere, so sorry if this has been posted anywhere before.

I've always given my hamster distilled water from like a Brita faucet. So, yeah. I guess my hamster's spoiled with water!

Tap water - just poured from the tap, which I also drink. We've got very good tap water over here - overwheelming majority is better than bottle water.

I use tap water. I don't even drink bottled water myself, it tastes funny and the privatization of water is just stupid. xp

Oh, Is just plain tap water bad for them? I drink it... but is there stuff in it that's harmful to hamsters, cuz I have hermit crabs, and I NEVER give them plain tap water, so if it's not safe for hammies either, then it's easy enough for me to make Albert his own special water too.... I've just never heard that before! Thxx! :goodvibes:

If the tap water is safe for humans to drink then your safe. ;) Hermit crabs are more sensitive to water.
