hi everyone and thank you for the nice words about sharma's place! sometimes when he gets to the intersection of the tubes, he needs to think about it....which way to go?? : :boggled: : every now and then he goes one way and then changes his mind and needs to reverse!

it's nice to see all the beautiful cages on display here and very good for gathering ideas. :applause: :wizard:

if I could, I'd post a picture of Rocky's cage, but I don't know how :scratchchin: so I'll just tell you what kind of cage it is. it's a CritterTrail One cage. Rocky thinks it's pretty comfortable too. the only bad thing about it is that when Rocky runs in the wheel, it hits the back of the cage and makes quite a racket. so I have to put him in another room at night. don't worry. if one of you can tell me how to post pictures, I might be able to post a pic of Rocky in his cage. I might get him a new cage soon though, because the petting station at the top of the cage is broken. the latch that holds it closed snapped off, so now I have to use tape to keep it closed. this is what Rocky probably thinks I am: :wizard:  I'll post a pic when I find out how to. so if you can, please help me out :innocent:

hi samantha!

to post your pic you can: open a free account at www.photobucket.com (you need to pick a username/password and give them an email address). they will email you a link that you click on to activate your account.

once you are logged in to your photobucket account, you can create an album (pick a name for it; i called my album "sharma") and also download pictures (such as a .jpeg file). i downloaded from my pc, so i clicked "browse", selected the file and downloaded it to my "sharma" album.

then click on the picture in the album and right-click with the mouse.

select "Properties" and copy the picture "Address".

when you come back to hamster hideout and post a reply, select the "IMG" button located above the emoticons/smilies. it will bring up an Explorer User Prompt box into which you paste the address from your picture. that's it! you should be able to see your picture when you click on "Preview Post"

(did i forget anything??)

by the way, the whole photobucket thing took me about 10 minutes from registering to actual download of the photo -- and i'm not even good at this sort of thing!

will look forward to seeing rocky here or on the gallery!

at first i felt like buying that kind of cage you have for your hamster, southpaw. My mum look at it and told me that can a hamster climb that high to the petting area?

They definitely can! It looks uncomfortable, but Snoopi runs up and down that tube all the time. It's not a very long tube. So don't worry, they can squeeze up. ;)

yes hitman88, it works now, thanks for sharing!
very elaborate tunnels! your hamsters must be really happy running through them! :hyper: don't be too sad about oreo, i'm sure she had a great time while in your care and you will always have good memories of her.

hwamshie, that's a spacious cage for your hammy. it's nice! :)

most impressive, hitman88!  incredible, even!!! :trophy: never saw such an amazing connection of tubes and cages!!!

hwamshie, you've got a nice CT2 there also for your ham! lots of cute toys to keep him (or her?) busy!! :skateboard: heh heh! is that one of the hamster "kebabs" you've got hanging there? those are fun to put on a hamster's favorite chew sticks and nibbles! :yummy: is the CT connected to the cage that's next to it? :scratchchin:

very nice!!! :applause:

thanks guys. each set-up is for only one hamster, i'm kinda partial to syrians. except when they are first introduced the hamster know there cages like the back of thier paws, and when inclined they can fly quite quickly through the tunnels. as for cleaning, it's not to bad because i have a system down for each one know. also both hammies are potty trained which makes thing alot easier. for the most part they're both so neat i really only need to clean each cage every other week, the potty's every day or sometimes every two.
