just a little curious here.. How many of you (of course still in school)... Have to wear uniforms? and if you do, do you like them over clothes? My school has uniforms, and i personally like them better because nobody can judge you for what you wear. Although, when i get sick of wearing them, I do enjoy ''jean days'' when we can wear anything we want. :) So how about you?

Nah, we can wear anything we want. Except that it cant have like "bad" images, words, or anything non-school appropriate. Also shorts have to be mid-thigh length! Otherwise you can wear anything you want, except they do give you a uniform for physical education! At my old school in chicago, we had to wear uniforms, and it was very annoying.

Well, MG does have to wear a uniform because she goes to Catholic school, but I don't think she minds because she is so used to it and that is the way it has always been. Also, they too can earn free dress passes so they do get the occasional day off from them...lol..usually she saves all of hers up to the end of the school year and wears free dress for like the whole last week or something.

I used to have to wear uniforms also. It didn't bother me at all. It was nice to know what you were going to wear each day!

At my school they thought of making us wear uniforms.

In 5th grade which was a while back, we all wrote a short pursuasive essay about your thoughts on uniforms.
"Uniforms do not allow us to express our individuality." or something like that was what someone wrote.

So now that was in the past. And now we don't wear uniforms!

Naw, no uniforms. I'm sure my mom would love it if we did have them though- it would save money! I wouldn't mind them, but it's fun wearing your new clothes to school. ;D

But, I hate spending 10 minutes finding something to wear. I'll find a shirt, and then the only pair of pants that it matches with are dirty! I spend a few minutes of that, until eventually I just throw a shirt on and put a sweatshirt over it. :P Uniforms would save me from that!

LOL...um...interesting?

I must say that MG has many more choices. For Junior High she can wear the following: plaid skirt, khaki skirt, white blouse, white polo, khaki slacks, navy slacks, khaki shorts, blue cardigan, blue vest, or the school logo sweatshirt (which is what most of the kids choose).

When I went to school I could either wear the plaid skirt or navy pants....so she has it easy compared to then....

oh yes, mm- i forgot to mention there is khaki pants for girls also LOL.. :) but most just like wearing the black pair. Other items that use to be part of the uniform were a pullover, vest, grey polo, black sweater. Just like monkeygirl also go to a Catholic school.. ;)

I have a very strict uniform. But then it's nice.

A t-shirt blouse and navy skorts.

But it's annoying to wear the skorts. People forget to zipper their backs so they walk around showing their underwear.
