This Christmas poem is written by HH writer Meowmies featuring her two hamsters, Pushkin and Tolstoy. Early Merry Christmas!
Twitching and twiddling; small paws are a fiddling,
Chewing and choosing fresh nuts after snoozing,
Primping and pouching before dominance pouncing;
Small teeth find tissue to tear.
Nudging and nibbling with small hamster siblings,
Grouping and grooming as night time is looming,
Listening and looking for Christmas time cooking;
Small noses go into the air.
They run and they ruffle their new winter fluffle,
They wait and they wail for buttery kale,
They fidget and fight for sugared delights;
Small eyes are beginning to stare.
They can smell marzipan and hot turkey slices,
They jump and they plead for sweet Christmas vices.
I’m sorry, Tolstoy, forgive me, Pushkin,
But I can not let hamsters into the kitchen…

Nice poem! It sounds nice with a jiggle (my own sound imagination as I read the poem :p). And the owner don’t have to feel bad for not giving them goodies. Just look at the size of their cheek pouches! =)
Awww, that is such a cute poem. Very well written too!
