HH: Hi Martin, congratulations for winning hamster of the month! How are you feeling now?
MBB: Hi! I feel great! Winning Hamster Of The Month is such an honor! My mommy always said I’m a cute little hamham. I think winning this contest is the first step in my modeling/bodybuilding career.

HH: You mentioned you like getting your owner’s attention. What do you do together during playtime?
MBB: My mommy (well … owner) is so easily impressed by what I do! I just have to act all cute or stand on two legs like a human and she immediately gives me a couple of sunflowers seeds or a small piece of carrot. I like my home. It’s very modern and I have everything I need there but sometimes I want to explore the outside world. I feel the need for adventure. That’s when I ask my mommy to take me outside and play explore. She takes me to these wonderful, huge places she calls living room and office. I run around a bit, then I use a very nice wheel my mommy has. Hmmm … it looks kind of small for her. I think she put it there just for me. I do this almost every evening and I love it. My mommy likes to hug and kiss me sometimes. I don’t like that very much. I’m a man now, not a little boy! But I guess mommy likes it so I give her a little kiss every now and then to make her happy.

HH: You look so strong and muscular! What’s your secret?
MBB: Strong and muscular? Well … I guess I am.  I like to keep fit. I run on my wheel a lot; at least 3-4 hours each day. I also climb the bars in my cage. My mommy says I look like a monkey. She sometimes gets a bit scared thinking I might fall. But I’m always okay. Once, I really scared my mom. I was hanging upside down from the top of my bar cage, with three paws in the air. My mom immediately took me in her arms and hugged and kissed me! lol! I was okay. Just fooling around … Another important factor is my diet. I eat only the best food available and the healthiest treats like carrots, broccoli, lettuce and cucumber. Of course, I eat a small piece of hard boiled egg each week. A bodybuilder like me needs a lot of protein. As for carbs, only the best rice and pasta.

HH: Describe your likes and dislikes.
MBB: My likes: yummy, healthy food, running on my wheel, hanging upside down from the top of my cage, exploring, working out with my pal Arnold, climbing my mom’s bookcase and obviously, posing.
My dislikes: being treated like a baby, having my house cleaned (yeah … I always act mean and grumpy when my mom cleans my house) and, of course, returning to my home if I’m not done exploring.

HH: Anything else you would like to say to our readers?
MBB: I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. I know I’m cute but so are all the other hams in the contest and I wasn’t sure I would win.
Here’s an advice for all my fans: eat healthy and work out daily! You might just become a celebrity, like me!
