Here is Mario’s impersonation as a turtle? Or a pancake?

Perhaps he is trying not to look too round by stretching outwards… hehe … I think this is an “act cute” pose

Does he move like a turtle too? I imagine it must be rather hard to run around with the extra chub hehehe.
